About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Health and Safety Compliance to join our team at Parrish and Heimbecker. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company meets all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and manage health and safety programs to ensure compliance and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Conduct Audits and Training: Oversee annual audits of safety programs to check for compliance and effectiveness, and manage safety training, including finding resources, scheduling, and tracking progress.
  • Regulatory Reporting and Compliance: Handle all regulatory and environmental compliance reporting and manage necessary certifications.
  • WSIB Management and Budgeting: Working with our consultants manage WSIB accounts, including claims and return-to-work cases, and develop, make capital recommendations, and manage Health and Safety budget for our group.
Requirements
  • University degree or College diploma in a relevant field or equivalent employment experience
  • Minimum five years' experience in a Health & Safety and Environmental Compliance role
  • In-depth understanding of the food manufacturing industry
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) designations would be an asset
