About the Role

This is a key position within our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our plant's equipment. As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with our Maintenance Supervisor to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive and reactive maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure efficient production and meet deadlines.
  • Assist in developing equipment maintenance and operation SOPs to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibration for validation purposes.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure equipment maintenance needs are met.
  • Perform regular equipment inspections and documentation to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adequate spare parts and supplies are maintained to facilitate quick repairs.
  • Participate in special projects to address cost reductions, improved efficiencies, and production accuracy.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of equipment maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Journeyperson Electrician certification is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with HAACP and Good Manufacturing Practices is considered an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Good computer skills.

Work Schedule

This is an overnight shift position, working from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM.
