Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team at St. Boniface Hospital. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors by patrolling hospital buildings and property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol hospital buildings and property to detect and prevent security breaches
  • Enforce laws, rules, and regulations of the hospital
  • Assist medical and nursing staff as needed
  • Direct and assist visitors throughout the facility
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and incidents

Requirements:

  • Prior security experience preferred
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards
  • Diploma from a recognized education facility in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Valid Manitoba Security Guard License

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to work at extreme heights to support helicopter operations
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Demonstrated ability to use a two-way radio
  • Ability to interact well with others
  • Ability to retain confidential information
  • Mature, professional manner
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Good interpersonal communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically fit and able to stand/walk for long periods
  • Physically able to restrain, detain, or evict individuals
