Job Summary: Care Team Assistant position available at Nova Scotia Health, providing direct care to patients and supporting activities of daily living.

As a Care Team Assistant, you will work under the supervision of regulated health professionals to provide direct care to patients, support their activities of daily living, and reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines.

About the Role:

  • Provide direct care to patients based on their needs and the plan of care.
  • Support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
  • Reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Program certification.
  • Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Demonstrates effective listening skills and communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent Part-time (40%) position, 30 hours bi-weekly.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $23.70 - $26.60 hourly.
  • Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
