WorkSafeNB is looking to hire a summer Student Translator to support translation work with our Translation Team. Reporting to the Manager, Client and Government Relations, you will cover projects, special assignments, extra hands assisting employees in the bargaining unit, translate documents as required during the peak demand for vacation by employees.

Some key areas of responsibility will include:

· Translate documents in either official language, with most of the translation work being performed from English to French.

· Proofread various publications and documents in either official language.

· Assist WorkSafeNB staff with translation terminology as required.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

· Must have completed 3rd year and be enrolled in the 4th year of a Translation university program or a related field.

· Must be proficient in MS Office products, particularly Word and Power Point.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.

Student rates:

· 3 years of university completed $18.68 per hour.

· 4 years of university completed $19.22 per hour.

This position will require you to initially work at head office and then transition to working from home. You may be required, from time to time, to come into head office, but that would be clearly communicated to you.
