Collections Representative

We are seeking a Collections Representative to join our team in the Assessment Services Department. This role involves the administration of the collection/legal process, ensuring delinquent employers comply with registration, reporting, and payment requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Determining the accuracy of current balances and transactions processed to employer accounts.
- Analyzing accounts and processing information related to cancellations, interest penalties, payroll adjustments, refunds, and other transactions.
- Contacting delinquent employers for prompt collection via phone or letter.
- Determining and establishing payment arrangements based on employer history and guidelines.
- Ensuring timely follow-up on collection queues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a two-year Business Administration/Management diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution, supplemented by a minimum of one-year related experience in accounts receivable and collections.
- Experience in receiverships or bankruptcies, and knowledge of the Judgment Enforcement Act and the Bankruptcy Insolvency Act would be an asset.
- Knowledge of WorkplaceNL's legislation, policies, and procedures is required.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated initiative, independent judgment, and strong analytical and decision-making skills. Experience and an educational equivalency will be considered.
