Building Service Worker



The City of Delta is looking for qualified Building Service Workers to fill in auxiliary roles at facilities in North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen.

Responsibilities:

Vacuum, sweep, wash, wax and polish floors and related areasWash and clean windows, doors, shelves, walls, and surfacesWash hand basins, sinks and toilets and replenish washroom suppliesCollect and dispose of refuse and recyclingEnsure building security, answer inquiries and provide routing information and assistance to the public as required.
Qualifications:Building Service Worker CertificateValid Class 5 Driver's Licence for the Province of British ColumbiaKnowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in janitorial workAbility to deal courteously and effectively with internal and external contactsAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructions.Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.Ability to perform heavy lifting
The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $27.04 per hour + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays and benefits. Interested applicants are requested to apply online at , to competition number EX by June 30, 2024.
