You as a Safety Coordinator/Administrator will:

  • Be responsible for safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/injury reports
  • Organize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid
  • Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and escalate issues to resolution
  • Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them
  • Organizing and registering all company safety training
  • Maintaining the internal database for all safety documents and records
  • Organizing and processing FLHA's and inspections
  • Supporting the Field Safety Coordinators administratively as well as performing additional general administrative duties (data entry, filing, etc.) Is this the right role for you?
    • 3 - 5 years' experience working as a Health and Safety Administrator, within the construction industry. NCSO designation would be an asset
    • Experience with safety software would be an asset
    • You have Standard or Advanced First Aid
    • You are working towards, or are already certified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Regulations with experience working on a large scale construction site
    • You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations
    • Extremely proficient administrative skills, with a high degree of quality in regards to; attention to detail, organization and time management skills
