Job Summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking a highly skilled Rolling Mill Operator to join our team. As a Rolling Mill Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining rolling mills, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain rolling mills, including starting and shutting down equipment, monitoring oil and fluid levels, and performing minor adjustments.
  • Responsible for part quality, ensuring that products meet quality standards.
  • Clean and maintain rolling mills, including removing rolls, cleaning, and storing them properly.
  • Assist in tool organization, change over cart, and development of standardization charts for change overs.
  • Contribute to regular production when there are no change overs.
  • Communicate issues and problems to area leaders or work cell leaders.
  • Maintain 5S standards in the working environment.
  • Attend training based on Mytox's internal training matrix.
  • Perform all job functions in a safe, healthful, and environmentally conscious manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or post-secondary education in a technical field.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Open-minded and able to receive constructive feedback.
  • Working knowledge of rolling mill controls, tooling protection, and other equipment.
  • Working knowledge of inspection records, SPC charts, and checking fixtures.
  • Working knowledge of measuring equipment, such as vernier and other gauges.
  • Working knowledge of rolling mill induction welding.
  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work overtime when required and willing to help out when necessary.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Valid Forklift license (training will be provided and maintained if required).
  • Valid Crane license (training will be provided and maintained if required).
  • Ability to follow verbal and written set-up instructions and complete appropriate paperwork.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience.
