Role overview

What you'll do

· Handle resources and lead the execution of accounting, risk and regulatory related strategic business and technology initiatives.

· Build positive and scalable relationships with implementation partners, technology and product vendors and counterparts within Cognizant to design and deliver quality client solutions.

· Provide domain oversight of financial risk and regulatory reporting, change management (interpretation and implementation of new reporting rules), and analysis of updates.

· Present complex solutions in a clear and logical way.

· Foster a culture aligned to Cognizant culture, values and strategy and role models Cognizant values and behaviors in all that they do.

· Improves team performance, recognize and reward performance, coach employees, support their development, and help performance improvement initiatives.

· Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.

· Network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and standard processes.

What you bring to the role

· Proven ability years) in consulting/product management/product owner experience with most recent experience in financial services. A track record of business generation, practice building and thought leadership is preferred.

· Knowledge of Capital Markets, Risk (Credit Risk, Financial Risk) and Regulations such as Basel, SCCL, CCAR / FR 2590, Large exposures framework is preferred.

· FRM or CFA certification preferred, Basel or Basel III and knowledge on FRTB highly preferred.

· Experience in leading or developing teams effectively including planning/structuring analytical work, facilitating team workshops, and developing technology/business strategy recommendations.

· Experience in developing detailed, compelling, and analytical PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Visio results to convey sophisticated thoughts and ideas to various customers.

· Able to handle ambiguity.

· Experience working in agile projects, using Jira, creating user stories, and overall knowledge of the agile framework.

Working arrangements

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto.
