Who we need:


The Administrative Assistant, Academic is responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the department by providing administrative assistance and coordination.

This position requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills to ensure that the academic department's activities run efficiently.

The individual in this role will work closely with faculty, students, and other administrative staff to facilitate the department's daily functions.

Contributes to a working environment where all team members can be their best selves, grow and thrive, to support our corporate mission of championing student success.


What you will do:


Assist department faculty and staff with various administrative tasks, including handling inquiries, academic scheduling, registration, and maintaining departmental files, records and documentation.

Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events.
Assist students with inquiries and course-related matters.
Help maintain student records and maintain and update the department's databases and academic records.
Generate and analyze data reports for departmental use.
Assist in planning and organizing departmental events, such as seminars, conferences, and workshops.
Undertake special projects or tasks as assigned by the department head or faculty members.

Assisting with the collection of data and the adherence to policies and procedures, to support the administration of the overall maintenance and accuracy of the academic records function.

Contributing to a positive corporate culture that supports equity, inclusion, learning, and wellness.
Maintains working relationships with cross-functional, internal business partners (managers, professionals).
Requires communicating with stakeholders, where objectives and priorities are mostly shared.

What you bring:
2+ years of experience in administration.
Bachelor's degree or college diploma (or international equivalent).
Ability to demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in post-secondary education system, administration of records, student information system.
Verbal and written communication skills; experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams) considered an asset.
