Garden in Gardens has 11 farms including 3 blueberry farms and 8 nursery plants farms.We are seeking a dedicated Greenhouse Supervisor to join our team.
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our greenhouses ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and productivity.
You will lead and coordinate a team of workers, and ensure efficient resource utilization.Wage:
$ 28.85 per hour
Work hours: 30 hours per week
Main Duties
- Oversee and coordiate all greenhouse activities, including planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest management.
- Supervise, train, and motivate greenhouse workers, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
- Establish work schedules and procedures, and develop detailed plans and estimate the materials and labor required for daily works.
- Requisition necessary supplies and materials, ensuring availability and proper utilization.
- Monitor plant health and growth, identifying and addressing any issues promptly,and prepare and submit progress reports.
- Implement and maintain greenhouse protocols and best practices for plant cultivation.
- Maintain accurate records of plant inventory, growth progress, and environmental conditions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized greenhouse environment.
- Manage greenhouse equipment and supplies, ensuring proper maintenance and inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate financial and workers records.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Complete of secondary education;
- At least 6 months of experience in greenhouse management or a similar role
- Proficient in budgeting and resource management;
- Excellent leadership,organizational and time management abilities;
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of cultivation techniques, including planting, fertilization, and irrigation,etc.
- Understanding of pest and disease management practices;
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
