Job Title: Area Account Manager
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Area Account Manager to join our Kingston team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our customer base across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring consistent satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory, focusing on industrial (MRO and OEM) and contractor markets.
- Provide expert advice on electrical, automation, and lighting products, tailoring solutions to meet the specific needs of customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and exceptional customer service.
- Achieve sales targets by developing and executing strategic sales plans.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 education, electrical background or post-secondary education in a related Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist program.
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within the electrical, automation, or lighting industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel within the assigned area.
