We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support our Science Initiative at Michael Smith Health Research BC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing research excellence, evidence-based solutions, and innovation in health research.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with our Science Initiative Manager to identify evidence needs and research agendas for internal teams and programs.
- Summarize and present literature to support the development, execution, or evaluation of Health Research BC projects and program activities.
- Conduct topical evidence syntheses, regional research needs assessments, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate support for provincial dialogues and develop committees of interested parties using CRM software.
- Deploy survey tools to gauge relevant interested party activities and opinions.
- Provide planning and coordination support for events and working groups.
- Completed or currently completing a graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with bibliometric analyses, systematic reviews, and CRM software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comprehensive computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Adobe.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trusting relationships with colleagues.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with training and/or experience in Indigenous cultural safety an asset.
