We are seeking a seasoned professional with an accounting designation to join our Financial Services team as a Financial Analyst. Our Financial Analysts showcase their superior leadership, proactive communication, and strong technical and analytical skills while problem-solving and managing projects.

This position will support the City of Kelowna in daily financial operations, including the transition project, and will be located at our office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) Designation
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience with a minimum of two (2) years at the Accountant level of experience or higher
  • Experience working and supporting financial software systems, internal controls, preparing complex financial statements and finance modeling, budgeting, municipal accounting, and auditing would be an asset
  • People Management
  • Responsibility/Accountability
  • Computer Literacy
