We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Sussex Insurance Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements, planning and administering accounting systems, and ensuring accuracy and compliance to accounting standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely and accurate payment of employees.
- Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures.
- Analyze financial documents and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week in a fast-paced environment. The position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
