Tłı̨chǫ Equipment Ltd. (TEL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation and is responsible for the management of leasing and maintenance of all light vehicles and heavy civil equipment used in support of business, construction, and remediation activities throughout the Northwest Territories.

The Parts & Service Manager is responsible for inventory management and control, procurement, customer service and budget management associated with TEL's inventory. In conjunction with the Senior Manager, the role also plays an active part in managing TEL's preventative maintenance program, and is responsible to manage the operations associated with TEL's fuel delivery program in Behchoko, NT.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze service reports/coordination of service scheduling.
  • Prepare service quotes.
  • Prepare/submit warranty claims.
  • Manage work orders and follow-up.
  • Oversee implementation and ongoing management/maintenance of fleet management system/parts and equipment inventory systems.
  • Budget management/forecasting/profit maximization.
  • Parts pricing/sourcing/purchasing.
  • Parts inventory tracking.
  • Management/oversight of fuel service delivery division.
  • Maintain/input data/data analysis of the preventative maintenance tracking software.
  • Review, apply and enforce safety protocols, procedures and practices to ensure zero harm.
  • Under direction of the Senior Manager, manage the full lifecycle preventative maintenance program of TEL's fleet of equipment.
  • Budget development, management and reporting.
  • Under direction of the Senior Manager, manage purchasing and inventory requirements, in accordance with company policy.
    • Supervise, mentor, train and coach staff.
    • Ensure daily safety meetings are being held and that all safety procedures and policies are followed under a COR certified company.
    • Ensure that health, safety, environmental, and security management issues are properly addressed.
    • Ensure safety infractions/incidents/near misses are reported in a timely manner.
    • Participate in workplace investigations when required.
  • Initiate and implement corrective action if required.
  • Collaborate extensively and effectively with internal and external clients;
  • Develop and manage work schedules.
  • Manage administrative matters related to the team, and team performance.
  • Set and assist in business development targets and key performance indicators.
  • Other duties as required/assigned for the effective and efficient operations of the business.

Typically, the above would be attained by:

Completion of a Red Sealed Heavy-Duty Mechanic/Heavy Equipment, Automotive Technician, or Parts Technician program with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role. We will consider equivalencies.
