Detachment Operations Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled administrative support professional to join our team as a Detachment Receptionist. The successful candidate will provide operational support to our detachment, taking inquiries and dispatching service responses. They will also provide reception and administrative support to detachment personnel, coordinating and processing administrative services.

- Provide operational support to the detachment by taking OPP/detachment inquiries and dispatching the appropriate service response.
- Provide reception and administrative support to Detachment personnel in the co-ordination and processing of administrative services.
Requirements:
- Ability to pass an OPP background/ security investigation.
- 40 w.p.m. typing speed.
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts in a 24-hour rotating shift environment.
- Ability to plan and prioritize administrative work on a daily basis.
- Oral communication skills to clarify the nature of requests from callers, relay messages, and respond to enquiries.
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills to interact with officers and other members of the detachment.
- Knowledge of record management practices to maintain an organized, up-to-date record system.
- Written communication skills to input accurate information, compose correspondence, proofread documents, and summarize information.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in performing clerical and administrative support duties.
- Ability to problem solve to provide assistance in fast paced or emergency situations.
- Knowledge of, and skill in, computer operation and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
