Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide assistance in attaining efficient operation of the distribution department, ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, internal policies and procedures, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the supervision and assignment of resources to optimize the operation
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, internal policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in the coordination of warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products
- Perform other related duties as required
- Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate
- Recent supervisor experience assigning, monitoring and examining work of employees and demonstrating coaching and communicating to employees to achieve expectations
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel applications
- Post-secondary education in Operations Management or a related field
- Recent experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Experience utilizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics
- Experience with inventory management and control
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
