Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to support our Procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and uploading data in our ERP system, building relationships with stakeholders, and analyzing spending data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor contracts in the ERP system
  • Coordinate with vendors on delivery schedules and provide receipts for invoice processing
  • Analyze spending data and prepare procurement reports
  • Reconcile spending data with the annual budget and update the Finance Department
  • Support the Procurement Director in implementing new policies and procedures
  • Participate in gap analysis and suggest improvements
  • Review and process approved purchase requisitions and ensure timely order placement
  • Conduct supplier research and market analysis to identify potential vendors
  • Participate in supplier negotiations and evaluate cost-saving opportunities
  • Support the development of procurement-related presentations and documents

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Humanities, or Social Sciences
  • 1+ years of experience in a data entry or administrative role
  • Experience in NetSuite (ERP System) is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple incoming requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems and tools
  • Ability to adapt to new technology
  • Knowledge of process improvement or willingness to learn
