Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) role at Sienna Senior Living requires a dedicated professional to provide high-quality care to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the Physician and in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario's Medication Administration Standards.
  • Document and follow up on concerns and complaints from clients, family, or team members, and inform or seek assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate.
  • Promote clients' self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasizing adaptation and abilities, promoting wellness, and providing preventative health education.
  • Complete required assessments, RAPS, and care plans within timeframes as required.
  • Support unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training, and education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
  • Current Medication Administration Certificate.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare, and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration is an asset.
