You are a compassionate and skilled respiratory therapist who is passionate about caring for neonatal and maternal populations. As a CBRC-certified respiratory therapist, you possess a strong foundation in cardio-respiratory care and a commitment to collaborative, interdisciplinary care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and intensive cardio-respiratory care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Support the NICU's interdisciplinary team with respiratory therapy expertise.
- Review patient medical history, conduct assessments, and recommend appropriate care.
- Set up, check, and operate respiratory equipment, making adjustments as necessary.
- Initiate, monitor, and assess ventilator-dependent patients.
- Recommend and administer individualized medical gas therapies.
- Provide invasive and non-invasive cardio-pulmonary monitoring.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care examination.
- Current and continuing registration with British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT).
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
