Lead, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety

Seeking a highly skilled professional to lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in a healthcare setting, collaborating with healthcare leaders and physicians to design and implement improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with healthcare leaders and physicians to provide leadership and quality improvement expertise to teams in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of improvement initiatives.
- Identify learning needs of teams related to quality improvement and patient safety methodology, tools, and system processes.
- Provide consultation, guidance, and support to teams in the use of tools and mechanisms to plan, test, measure, monitor, and evaluate initiatives designed to improve patient care outcomes.
- Facilitate and coach teams in the development, monitoring, and analysis of key performance indicators.
- Provide expert support for analysis of multiple sources of data to promote a balanced approach for identifying and acting on improvement opportunities.
- Lead in the development and implementation of client safety and risk indicators, alert systems, and other risk prevention strategies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of processes as they relate to patient safety, complaints management, and patient safety event reporting.
- Contribute to the development and review of policies and guidelines related to patient safety and quality of care.
- Provide expertise and facilitation related to clinical improvement tools such as quality improvement model for improvement, care paths, and structured improvement collaboratives.
- A Master's Degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Five years' recent, related experience in healthcare services leadership in progressively more responsible and varied roles.
- Experience in patient safety education, reporting, and follow-up, quality improvement knowledge, and experience with accreditation processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement principles, methods, and tools.
- Demonstrated presentation, facilitation, and teaching skills.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software such as Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
