Asphalt Laboratory Technician

Asphalt Laboratory Technician sought to perform testing and analysis of asphalt samples in a central lab and mobile lab environment.

We're looking for a skilled Asphalt Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Performing asphalt laboratory testing to match current NSPW requirements using the Marshall Method and Superpave Method.
- Familiarizing yourself with current NSPW End-Product-Specification Asphalt specifications and asphalt mix properties to propose mix changes or adjustments as needed.
- Receiving and properly recording all field samples for testing and/or holding.
- Communicating results effectively with clients and Englobe supervisors.
- Maintaining proper records of field test results for review and subsequent submissions.
- Applying and promoting Englobe's health and safety rules.
As a successful candidate, you will possess:
- A technical degree or diploma in civil engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar engineering field.
- CCIL certification considered an asset.
- Team-oriented and excellent communication skills.
- A valid driver's license.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout Nova Scotia on a required basis.
