Job Title: Paint Department Sales Associate

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our Paint Department team at Kent Building Supplies.

About the Role: As a Paint Department Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, working safely, and maintaining store standards. You will also have the opportunity to learn about new products and attend training sessions to enhance your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work safely and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Provide superior customer service, including greeting customers, providing information, and completing sales
  • Mix paint colors using designated computer system
  • Maintain store standards, including inventory, replenishment, and merchandising
  • Learn about new products and attend Paint department specific training

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and team player skills
  • Sales and customer service experience
  • Knowledge of paint is considered an asset
  • Possess a high level of attention to details
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work days/evening/weekends (rotating shifts)
  • Ability to learn and operate the applicable computer system
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent considered an asset
