Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform staffing and scheduling functions for the organization, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Utilize ESP or other computerized staffing systems to efficiently manage staffing and scheduling tasks.
  • Develop and maintain accurate files and records, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager to develop and implement staffing strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • 1-year experience in an equivalent position, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • 1-year experience working with ESP or other computerized staffing systems, performing extensive staffing and scheduling functions.
  • Grade 12 graduate, Manitoba standards.
  • Advanced knowledge in staffing and scheduling processes.
  • Knowledge of applying collective agreement language in relation to staffing processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant Workplace Safety and Health responsibilities.
  • Ability to expertly use ESP effectively and efficiently to replace/schedule staff.
  • Proficiency in obtaining staff replacement in a complex unionized environment.
  • Proficiency in the basic use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ask for guidance or direction when necessary.
  • Ability to use effective English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to select and use communication skills appropriate to the situation.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective professional interpersonal relations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to problem-solve and use tact, objectivity, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to prioritize work activities, working in an organized manner and utilizing time efficiently.
  • Ability to use systems and equipment typical of an office environment.

Physical Requirements: Not Applicable

Working Conditions: This is a full-time position, working in an office environment. The successful candidate will be required to work independently with minimal supervision and may be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
