Job Summary

As a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the smooth operation of our retail environment. This dynamic role requires a customer-focused individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced team setting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Greet customers in a friendly and polite manner, providing a positive first impression of our store.
  2. Assist customers by promoting products, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
  3. Resolve customer issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management as needed.
  4. Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing salesfloor by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date items, and setting up product displays.
  5. Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, secure merchandise, and identify high-shrink items to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  6. Receive and stock merchandise, utilize equipment effectively, and administer required paperwork and documentation.
  7. Refer service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
  8. Stock merchandise, pick items, and apply product protection when necessary, setting and completing modulars and shelf caps.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
