As a School Bus Driver with First Student, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school. Our drivers are the face of our company, and we're committed to providing a positive experience for our students and their families.
About the PositionWe're seeking experienced and safety-conscious drivers to join our team. As a School Bus Driver, you'll be responsible for:
- Transporting students safely and efficiently to and from school
- Conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition
- Providing excellent customer service to students and their families
- Working collaboratively with other drivers and support staff to ensure a smooth and safe transportation experience
We're proud to offer our drivers a competitive compensation package, including:
- A starting wage of $22.75-$24.75 per hour, depending on experience
- No experience necessary - we provide comprehensive training
- A 4-hour guarantee, with additional hours available on charter routes
- No nights or weekends
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
- A valid driver's license for at least 2 years
- Good verbal communication skills
- At least 21 years old
- Pass a Ministry-prescribed medical examination and background checks
