About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our department, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of advancing medical imaging through innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of general imaging procedures using digital equipment, ensuring high-quality images and excellent patient care.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to maintain and improve imaging standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong technical skills, staying up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques.
  • Provide excellent patient care, communicating effectively with patients and families to ensure their needs are met.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Canadian Medical and Radiological Technology Board (CMRITO).
  • Previous experience in general imaging, with a strong understanding of anatomy and pathology.
  • Completion of a Basic Life Support (BCLS) program and Level II certification.
  • One year of recent experience in a related area of responsibility, with a strong clinical background in general radiography.
  • Ability to work accurately under stressful conditions, with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and recognition skills, with a commitment to continuing education and professional development.
