Barista/Server

Mon Pitou is seeking a part-time Barista/Server to join our team. This position requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week, with shifts typically lasting 5 hours.

Responsibilities
  • Closing and opening the store, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Preparing and serving high-quality coffee drinks using our state-of-the-art espresso machine.
  • Providing exceptional table service during brunch hours, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Working independently to oversee the entire storefront, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Selling retail products, including online orders through various platforms.
  • Managing inventory, packaging, and storing retail meals and pastries.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborating with peers to achieve common goals and support the team.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the coffee machine, dishware, and store.
  • Stocking and restocking products, ensuring a well-stocked store at all times.
  • Representing the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Minimizing waste and promoting sustainability.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • A consistent commitment and availability, particularly during the holiday season.
  • Saturday and Sunday availability, with scheduling based on business needs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late evenings.
  • 2 years of experience as a barista in a fast-paced establishment.
  • 6 months of serving experience, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Lightspeed POS experience, with a strong understanding of inventory management and sales.
  • Ability to multitask, think critically, and work independently.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • FoodSafe certification, with a strong understanding of food safety and handling.
