Job Title: Line Cook
About the Role:
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for running the grill operations, preparing food, and serving customers at the grill station. You will work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a clean and sanitary work station area, and following proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
- Prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing, or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning, and/or marinating.
- Use established ticket-collection procedures during service, responsible for records from area worked during service periods.
- Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
Requirements:
- Two years of working experience as a grill cook or in kitchen preparation and cooking.
- FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
- Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
