Magnum Cementing Services is seeking a skilled Remedial Cement Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our field equipment, performing shop maintenance, and supporting our operational business.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Operation: Maintain, prepare, and operate a pumper for each job, ensuring proper on-site rig in and rig out procedures, mixing, pumping, pressure tests, plug drops, wash ups, final inspections, and location clean up.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and perform function tests before equipment leaves the yard, ensuring all components are in working order. Maintain up-to-date documentation on equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Shop Maintenance: Perform shop maintenance on field equipment when required, including pumper spring maintenance and fluid end inspections.
- Rebuilding and Repair: Rebuild Chiksans and Neutron valves.
- Support and Assistance: Assist the Supervisor in job preparations and incident reporting. Drive well servicing equipment with a trailer (pup unit) to and from well sites, as required.
- Mentorship and Training: Mentor Operator 1's in obtaining their class 1 (Canada) / CDL (U.S.) license. Participate in training and development activities.
- Valid Driver's License: Valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Demands: Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, gripping, sitting/driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
- Work Schedule: Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in all types of weather conditions. Able to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on a 6 days off rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times.
- Experience and Skills: Experience in oil and gas field operations. Experience with rig in and rig out procedures, mixing and pumping, pressure tests, plug drops, wash ups, final inspections, and clean up. Maintenance knowledge, mechanically inclined, and able to troubleshoot. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and required paperwork.
- Experience in Cementing: Experience in both primary and remedial cementing. Experience operating Twins. Experience dealing with customers.
