Nurse Practitioner

The West Nipissing General Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional nursing standards.
- Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
- Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current BCLS/ACLS and IV Therapy Certification.
- Related experience is an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in the use of a computer with the ability to learn hospital-specific software.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively.
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Demonstrated commitment to the health and safety of patients, fellow workers, volunteers, students, and visitors.
- Up-to-date immunizations required, including COVID-19.
- A competitive salary of $56.00 per hour (as per ONA Collective Agreement).
- A signing bonus of $25,000 for new graduates and registered nurses from outside Ontario.
