Job Summary
The role is to manage the Network Operations Center and telecom environment in a stable, secure, and cost-effective manner through strong relationships with product or service providers. Plan, organize, and manage staff and infrastructure operations to ensure stable CN IT systems operation. Responsible for network administration, developing policies/procedures, and maintaining best practices.
Main Responsibilities
- Partners with HR for talent acquisition and onboarding
- Recognizes employee milestones and contributions
- Fosters collaboration and communication
- Manages employee performance and development
- Ensures knowledge transfer through cross-training
Operational Excellence
- Provide technical expertise in Datacenter, Core, and Network Services technologies
- Ensure network devices comply with standards and policies
- Maintain operational procedures, network security, and uptime
- Lead performance tuning and network testing
- Research and analyze networking technologies
- Manage change control procedures and provide on-call support
Delivery
- Review project requests and ensure feasibility
- Coordinate resources and vendors for project delivery
- Provide feasibility study and work estimates
- Participate in project transition and support strategies
Practice Evolution
- Oversee maintenance and performance standards
- Develop strategic plans and standards
- Implement operational policies and procedures
- Contribute to technology roadmap and team structure
- Participate in life cycle portfolio management and vendor evaluations
Requirements
Education
- College degree in Information Technology, Computer Science
Skills/Knowledge
- Detailed knowledge of Data Centre and Core technologies
- Experience with ITIL processes, project management
- Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 5 years related experience
