Security Officer needed for Brampton Civic Hospital, providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents.

As a Security Officer, you will work full-time shifts, responding to emergencies, investigating incidents, and providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with mental health patients and patrons in the hospital
  • Responding to calls and supporting your team in a dynamic environment
  • De-escalating crisis situations and handling emergencies
  • Writing reports and investigating routine incidents
  • Providing security presence and support throughout the hospital
  • Utilizing verbal de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts
  • Working closely with vulnerable populations
  • Monitoring for and escalating security concerns within the hospital
  • Ensuring safety of staff, patients, and visitors within the hospital

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a security or related role
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • WSIB Approved First Aid/CPR Level C
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • COVID Double Vaccination
  • Immunization Record (MMR – Measles Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, TB)
  • Customer Service Experience
