Security Officer

Join our team at Paladin Security, a company dedicated to making the world a safer and friendlier place. We're looking for a highly skilled Security Officer to provide exceptional customer service and ensure the safety and security of our clients.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong ability to think on your feet, handle difficult situations, and provide excellent customer service. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and responding to inquiries from the public
  • Monitoring entrances and ensuring all visitors are following Public Health guidelines
  • Patrolling client properties by foot to prevent unauthorized entry and politely directing disruptive individuals to leave the premises
  • Providing specialized security services and sustaining effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Following and enforcing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Responding to and reporting irregularities, security breaches, hazards, and emergencies
  • Utilizing radios, handheld devices, and computer applications to communicate site activity
  • Writing clear and comprehensive reports, including daily activity reports and incident reports
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, professional demeanor, and deportment
  • Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and respond to emergencies under pressure
  • Discretion when handling confidential and private information
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to pass a security clearance and obtain a security license (a valid security license is considered an asset)
  • High school diploma or equivalent and of legal age
