McCain Fertilizer, a Division of McCain Produce Inc, is a leading distributer of crop inputs, including blended fertilizer, crop protection products and other related inputs, with multiple locations in Atlantic Canada and the State of Maine.

We have a temporary vacancy for a Summer Student resource at our blending facility for the period of April to end of August. This person will work closely with the Sales team and Distribution Lead and will have a blended role of indoor and outdoor duties.

A valid Driver's License and clean Drivers Abstract is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Team with Production to receive orders and see through to timely and accurate delivery
• Assist Sales team with field and plot work
• Soil and plant tissue samples
• Collecting data from trial work
• Some General labor as assigned
• Plant digs for soil testing
• Able to work unsupervised and carry out direction alone

The Ideal candidate would possess:

• Good customer service and organizational skills
• Must have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Detailed oriented and dependable
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook
• Strong communication skills and work well in a small team environment
• Ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency
• Ability to work flexible extended hours
• Work experience or background in agriculture also considered an asset
• This position would be suitable for a student with pertinent skills to the job

Hourly Rate for this position is $18-19 CAD per hour
