We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Undergraduate Nursing Employee at Pan Am Clinic. This role provides an opportunity for nursing students to consolidate their knowledge and skills in a supervised environment, working alongside experienced healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
- Develop and maintain strong communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting a culture of respect and dignity for all patients and colleagues.
- Current enrollment in an approved nursing education program leading to initial entry to practice as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
- Successful completion of the third year or enrolled in third year with a minimum of 450 hours of clinical practice in an approved nursing education program.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Work in a variety of healthcare settings, including medical/surgical and mental health units.
- May be required to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed.
