With a combined workforce of over 8,000 people and having generated over $2.6 billion in revenues in 2023, TransLink and its operating subsidiaries (Coast Mountain Bus Company, BC Rapid Transit Company, Metro Vancouver Transit Police, and West Coast Express) are responsible for the planning, funding, building and operation of an integrated transportation system for the movement of people, goods and services in Metro Vancouver. To the 2.6 million people who live in Metro Vancouver, TransLink is an essential contributor to their quality of life, work and play.

On behalf of the Screening Panel for TransLink, Boyden is presently seeking three individuals to join TransLink's Board of Directors. In this capacity, you will be responsible for supervising the management of TransLink's affairs, dependably acting in the best interests of the broader organization while upholding the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

As a private or public sector senior leader with Board/governance experience, you have demonstrated your ability working both at a strategic and senior level within large, complex organizations or at other organizations with a citizen-centred approach to governance, with experience in public policy and governmental relations and across a wide range of stakeholders. The strongest candidates have held successful leadership/Board roles in large scale and complex infrastructure projects and/or will bring financial strategic oversight experience. You will possess sound acumen around Board governance and an understanding of and experience with levels of government is desirable.

A regular Metro Vancouver transit user, you have a passion for world class transit systems, the movement of goods and services and will be a champion for developing an unrivaled, integrated transportation organization for the benefit of citizens. The Screening Panel is particularly seeking interest from qualified individuals who reflect the diversity of the customers TransLink serves.

Under TransLink's governing legislation, the Screening Panel must provide a list of qualified candidates by September 2024 to the Mayors' Council for their consideration.
