What you'll be doing

You'll be joining the Cloud, Automation and Build team within CIBC's Application Engineering Capital Markets, Personal Banking & Direct Financial Services Technology group. You'll work with teams at the heart of CIBC's digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems. As an Application , oversee the ideation and implementation of easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience across various platforms through API, Security Frameworks, JBOSS, CaaS, Cloud technologies and Automation tools. You'll work closely with your team to ensure appropriate delivery of application and infrastructure transformations, contribute to Continuous Delivery Cycle through build and automation, and ensure adherence to standards and operating procedures

How you'll succeed

  • Engineering and Development- develop pipelines, integrations, and other tools and automations.
  • DevOps Leadership- Develop and inculcate best practices and patterns for DevOps; advise development, operations, and other technology teams on incorporating DevOps tools and practices in their work.
  • Reporting and Analysis- Produce and analyze metrics for DevOps process visibility and improvement.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 6+ experience in years experience as a Consultant with a background as a Web Development as well as middleware infrastructure, DevOps. You have previous experience working within an Agile environment and are familiar with Jira and Confluence, CaaS, OpenShift, Cloud Computing, Jenkins pipelines, and DevOps practices. You have overall strong communication and presentation skills. Financial Services Cloud experience is plus. Experience with designing and implementing cloud-based architecture solutions on Azure. Strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience with programs/projects involving complex integration of technologies/platforms across functional technical teams. Capable of establishing and maintaining effective partnerships and relationships .
