Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team at Golderado Contracting Corp. As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our construction projects and implementing operational best practices, risk management strategies, and quality assurance/control activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance: Champion and lead the effective implementation of operational best practices, risk management strategies, and quality assurance/control activities.
- Underground Experience: Requires underground experience.
- Project Planning: Facilitate proper planning of the work to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Subcontractor Quality Plans: Oversee the development and implementation of Subcontractor Quality Plans.
- Inspection and Testing Plans: Prepare/coordinate the development of Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs) for all construction activities. Ensure that the ITPs are fully implemented, hold and witness points attended, and issues arising resolved expediently.
- Installation Checklists: Create and complete project-specific installation checklists.
- Construction Quality Management: Monitor execution of construction activities and assess compliance with respect to the construction quality management plan and Contract specifications.
- Surveillance Issues: Monitor adequate closure of all surveillance issues, quality audit findings, nonconformities, etc.
- Inspections and Documentation: Complete inspections and documentation associated with the receiving of components, products or other jobsite materials.
- Consultant and Client Walkthroughs: Participate in consultant and client walkthroughs and assist with the identification, documentation and closure of deficiencies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Golderado Contracting Corp.'s regional/corporate quality team and technical departments to ensure adequate understanding and planning for complex elements of the project.
- Heavy Civil Earthworks: Strong background in heavy civil earthworks, road building and underground utilities.
- Field and Office Setting: Comfortable in both a field and office setting or would enjoy a role that requires indoor and outdoor split-time.
Requirements:
- Civil or Construction Engineering Diploma or Degree: Civil or Construction Engineering diploma or degree with minimum 3 years of experience or equivalent and familiarity with quality management systems and practices.
- Underground Experience: Undergrounds experience is required.
- Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
- Heavy Civil Earthworks: Strong background in heavy civil earthworks, road building and underground utilities.
- Team Player: You are a self-directed, motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable Transportation: A reliable means of transportation is required.
- English Language Skills: Proficient English language skills required.
