About Us: Chinook School Division is a vibrant and progressive school division located in Saskatchewan's great Southwest. We are committed to our guiding principles of Communication, Shared Responsibility, Positive Relationships, and Ongoing Monitoring and Improvement.

About the Role: We are seeking an Educational Assistant to support students who are working on courses delivered by Sask DLC. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and supporting students with their academic and personal needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their academic and personal needs, including speech, motor, and language development and social and life skills
  • Work one on one with students and within a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement Individual Improvement Plans with the support of the teaching team
  • Meet the health and hygiene needs of children as required

Qualifications:

  • Education Assistant certification or early childhood training an asset
  • Ability and experience in working with children
  • Physical ability to work with active students
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and an ability to work in a team environment
  • A positive and flexible attitude to change
  • Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
