Job Title: Educational Assistant

We are seeking a part-time Educational Assistant to join our team at Burstall School. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and support staff to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs
  • Assist with classroom activities and lessons
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to develop and implement Individual Improvement Plans
  • Support students with speech, motor, and language development, as well as social and life skills
Requirements:
  • Education Assistant certification or early childhood training an asset
  • Ability and experience in working with children
  • Physical ability to work with active students
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and an ability to work in a team environment
  • A positive and flexible attitude to change
  • Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
  • Demonstrates alignment with Chinook School Division's values
