About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Fundraising and Event Coordinator to join our team at Bladder Cancer Canada. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in the success of our fundraising initiatives and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with our National Development Manager to develop and execute strategies to achieve fundraising objectives for Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer and other initiatives.
  • Event Execution: Plan and coordinate all aspects of the event day, including vendor coordination, logistics, and day-of execution.
  • Community Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses and community members to increase visibility, participation, and fundraising for Bladder Cancer Canada.
  • Sponsorship Development: Identify and pursue national and local sponsorship opportunities to support our fundraising initiatives.
  • Communication and Promotion: Collaborate with our Communications Coordinator to promote and grow our fundraising events and initiatives.
  • Reporting and Data Management: Provide regular progress reports to our National Development Manager and maintain accurate records of donations and participant information.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A degree in a related field or equivalent experience in fundraising, event planning, and project management.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, cloud-based applications, and CRM databases.
  • Confidentiality and Ethics: Ability to maintain sensitive information and exhibit high standards of ethics and confidentiality.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $21 per hour and a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends required. You must be able to attend the Toronto Walk on the designated weekend.
