Job Summary

The Deputy Chief Pilot will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our flight crews, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This is a key leadership role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Chief Pilot on all base-related issues, including pilot duties, training, and scheduling.
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance Department to ensure aircraft serviceability aligns with operational requirements.
  • Liaising with external agencies for base-related operational activities.
  • Overseeing the Safety Management System (SMS) and the Management of Change (MOC) process at your assigned base.
  • Upholding compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Aviation Occupational Safety and Health (AOSH) regulations.
  • Managing and maintaining necessary supplies for the base.
  • Conducting regularly scheduled audits as assigned by the Quality Department.
  • Helping in resolving operational disruptions.
  • Serving as the Base Aviation Safety Officer.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Valid Category 1 Medical.
  • Airline Transport Pilot Licence.
  • Bilingual (French/English).
  • Prior experience in aviation operations.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
