Work Location: Milton, ON
CH Site: Glen Eden
Your OpportunityThe primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Complete grounds maintenance at CH parks, including snow removal, salting, and sanding.
- Operate plow truck and other snow removal equipment.
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks throughout the day, which may involve traveling between CH properties.
- Support other departments within CH as needed.
- Work in accordance with Conservation Halton's Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous Equipment Operator experience is an asset.
- Able to work at any CH designated area and travel to a site not serviced by public transportation.
- Available a minimum of 4 days per week, with flexible hours, including overnights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Proficient with Microsoft programs, including Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- A valid Ontario Driver's Licence, with a satisfactory Driver's Abstract.
- Successful candidates must provide own CSA-approved safety footwear and safety-approved helmet prior to first day of employment.
- Starting at $21.73 per hour.
- Part-time and full-time hours available, with varying schedules.
