Wind Service Technician - Western Canada We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Service Technician to join our team in Western Canada. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work safely in challenging environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems independently and efficiently
  • Providing excellent service to customers
  • Service and maintenance of wind turbines
  • Troubleshooting errors on wind turbines
  • Escalating technical issues to supporting engineering functions
  • Supporting other sites across Canada as needed
  • Participating in the development of new improved field procedures and best practices
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Physically and mentally able to work suspended from heights and in confined spaces
  • Flexible travel schedule
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
  • Strong ability to organize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of quality orientation
  • Good computer skills, competent in the use of Microsoft platforms like Outlook and Excel
  • Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by the safety regulations
  • Must pass a physical administered by a medical practitioner to ensure ability to safely perform the job functions and meet the physical demands of the position
  • Must pass pre-hire background screening
Preferred qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a mechanical, electrical or industrial field
  • Certification from a Renewable Energy or Wind Technical Program
  • Hands on work experience as a Wind Technician on a Wind Farm
  • Relevant work experience or demonstrated knowledge e.g. electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, maintenance/troubleshooting in a military, industrial or automotive industry
