Senior Software Engineer - AI Frameworks Team

About the Role

This is a technical role that requires hands-on software design and development skills. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has a demonstrated history of solving hard technical problems and is motivated to learn new areas and tackle the hardest problems in building efficient AI systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software to facilitate Large Language Model (LLM) evaluation.
  • Perform software development in machine learning scripting languages, e.g. Python, in the industry-side LLM eco-system.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers to identify the need and environment for the evaluation tool.
  • Identify requirements, scope solutions, estimate work, schedule deliverables.
  • Embody our Culture and Values.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years software development experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, or Python.
  • 2+ years' practical experience related to machine learning, including modeling, evaluation, or application.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software development experience with coding in C, C++, or Python.
  • Experience in evaluating Deep Neural Network models. Experience with Large Language Models is a plus.
  • Understanding of Data Science techniques, such as hypothesis testing, experimental design.
  • Great cross-team collaboration skills.

Compensation

The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.
