Network Security Engineer

The Network Security Operations Engineer position is a hands-on role to manage, monitor and support the network infrastructure and services. Working within the Network Security Operations Team you will provide support with resolving incidents, implementing customer requests, delivering on projects, proposing service improvements, and mentoring more junior members of the team.

This role will suit an individual who has experience within a 2nd or 3rd line support environment and has proven experience troubleshooting network related issues within a large organisation. While they are expected to have a minimum of CCNA / CCSA / CCSE certification it is equally important that they have a passion for networking. This position is responsible to manage Datacentre activities like commissioning and decommissioning of network devices, need to travel to Datacentre / Sites when required.

Your role within the Team

Aa a member of the Network Security Operations team, you will report to the Senior Manager, Network Operations and be responsible for:

Respond quickly and effectively to network issues, incidents, and outagesResolving up to 3rd line network related incident support callsPerform system maintenance and upgrade tasksEvaluating network Security Operations change requestsProvide mentoring to develop more junior members of the teamUse and configure network monitoring tools to identify and address issues before service degradation occursMaintain technical documentation, network diagrams, processes, and proceduresAction tickets in the Network Operations Team's queues in accordance with company-defined best practiceDelivery of BAU project work and user requestsParticipate in 24 x 7 out-of-hours rota as requiredEvaluating network performance issuesKeep abreast of developments in networking and network monitoringIdentifying opportunities for service improvement via automation or procedural changeNetwork hardware - racking stacking, commission, and de commissionDC process- access, vendor coordinationOccasional travel to the Data centre or User sites.Own problems and escalate to external vendors as required

Qualifications for the Position

To be successful in this role we would expect you to have in-depth industry experience and must also be able to demonstrate hands-on experience with:

Excellent Checkpoint skills incl. VSX and Multi Domain F5 LTM, APM and any additional modules would be desirableExcellent troubleshooting skills e.g. ability to methodically troubleshoot a complex technical issue using tools such as WireShark and TCPDump on network devices and/or various servers. Adhere to ITIL best practice procedure in relation to all aspects of change and configuration management. ITILv4 certification will be a benefit Experience of network management tools.

Le poste d'Ingénieur(e), Sécurité du réseau est un poste pratique qui consiste a gérer, surveiller et soutenir l'infrastructure et les services du réseau. Au sein de l'équipe chargée des opérations de sécurité du réseau, vous contribuerez a la résolution des incidents, a la mise en œuvre des demandes des clients, a la réalisation de projets, a la proposition d'améliorations des services et a l'encadrement des membres plus juniors de l'équipe.

Ce poste conviendra a une personne qui a de l'expérience dans un environnement de support de deuxième ou troisième ligne et qui a une expérience avérée dans la résolution de problèmes liés au réseau au sein d'une grande organisation. Les candidats doivent avoir au minimum une certification CCNA / CCSA / CCSE, mais il est tout aussi important qu'ils aient une passion pour les réseaux. Ce poste est responsable de la gestion des activités du centre de données telles que la mise en service et la mise hors service des dispositifs de réseau, ce qui nécessite de voyager vers le centre de données / les sites lorsque cela est nécessaire.

Votre rôle au sein de l'équipe

Au sein de l'équipe d'Opérations de sécurité des réseaux, vous relèverez du Gestionnaire principal, Opérations de réseau et vous aurez a :

Répondre rapidement et efficacement aux problèmes, incidents et pannes de réseau.Résoudre les appels de support d'incidents liés au réseau jusqu'a la troisième ligneEffectuer des tâches de maintenance et de mise a niveau du systèmeÉvaluer les demandes de modification des opérations de sécurité du réseauFournir un mentorat pour développer les membres plus juniors de l'équipeUtiliser et configurer des outils de surveillance du réseau afin d'identifier et de résoudre les problèmes avant qu'une dégradation du service ne se produise.Maintenir la documentation technique, les diagrammes de réseau, les processus et les procédures.Actionner les tickets dans les files d'attente de l'équipe d'exploitation du réseau conformément aux meilleures pratiques définies par l'entreprise.Réalisation de projets BAU et de demandes d'utilisateursParticiper a la rotation 24 heures sur 24 et 7 jours sur 7 en dehors des heures de travail, selon les besoins.Évaluer les problèmes de performance du réseauSe tenir au courant des développements dans le domaine des réseaux et de la surveillance des réseaux.Identifier les possibilités d'amélioration du service par l'automatisation ou la modification des procéduresMatériel de réseau - mise en rack, empilage, mise en service et retrait de la mise en serviceProcessus DC - accès, coordination des fournisseursDéplacements occasionnels vers le centre de données ou les sites des utilisateurs.S'approprier les problèmes et les transmettre aux fournisseurs externes si nécessaire.
