We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst and Business Intelligence professional to join our Global Trade Services team. As a maternity leave replacement, this role offers the possibility of extension and is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a constantly evolving environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with operations and finance departments to optimize financial flows and cost management related to imports and exports. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating budget preparation and monitoring costs and surcharges related to imports and exports in all regions for all business units.
  • Supporting international units in controlling costs related to their imports.
  • Preparing and presenting analyses and key performance indicators (KPIs) to promote understanding of variances and gaps in the trading group's financial and operational efficiency.
  • Initiating and participating in the management of trade cost reduction projects.
  • Supporting and implementing required financial controls.
  • Optimizing, standardizing, and documenting key financial processes.
  • Monitoring payables and receivables with partners and governments.
  • Collaborating on the development of business cases related to growth opportunities.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least three years of experience in a similar field.
  • Advanced mastery of Excel, with PowerBI and SQL skills being a major asset.
  • The ability to work with complex data and present it clearly and concisely.
  • Curiosity about new technologies.
  • An accounting designation (CPA) would be an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is essential in both spoken and written communication, with Spanish being an asset.
  • The ability to promote teamwork.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Influencing skills.
  • An analytical mind and the ability to synthesize.
  • Dynamism and initiative.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
